It was recently brought to my attention that there is a new movie
set to be released on December 7, 2007 titled The
Golden Compass written by English atheist Philip
Pullman. I have not personally seen this movie, nor do I plan
to see it in the future, but it is NOT a movie that we as Christians
should be allowing our children to watch. The movie is based on
a novel written by Pullman which is the first of a series of three
books. These books were written "to promote atheism and denigrate
Christianity. To kids." At least one pro-family group --
the American Family Association -- is alerting Christians to the
potential dangers of The Golden Compass. Because of Pullman's
clearly articulated anti-Christian motives, AFA is warning all
viewers to run from the film. Please follow the link below for
